 Christmas on Eyre Square

The Hardiman overlooks Eyre Square, home to the Galway Christmas Market, which runs from 7 November to 31 December 2026. Stay right on its doorstep, then make an evening of it with festive dining or Afternoon Tea. See Christmas at The Hardiman for everything on this season.

Spring Breaks in Galway

Quieter streets and longer evenings make spring the perfect time to explore at your own pace, from the Latin Quarter to the Spanish Arch. Or use the hotel as a base for day trips to Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher and the Wild Atlantic Way.

Summer in the City

Galway is at its liveliest in summer. With stays available until the end of August 2027, you can book a summer break at a Black Friday price, with the Galway International Arts Festival (12 to 25 July 2027) and the Galway Film Fleadh both on the doorstep. See our festivals and events guide for more

The Hardiman has stood on Eyre Square since 1852, and it’s still the most central address in Galway. Shop Street and the Latin Quarter are a five-minute walk away, and the train and bus station is about a minute from the front door, so you can leave the car at home.

Come back to elegant rooms and suites, dinner in the Oyster Room overlooking the square, or live music downstairs in MacNeill’s Pub. Read more about our history or see getting here for directions and parking.

25% discount applies to Bed & Breakfast and Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rates booked direct at thehardiman.ie between 10am on 16 November and midnight on 30 November 2026 (from 12 November for Hardiman Rewards members).
