Planning a Galway Christmas Market break? The Market is returning to Eyre Square for the 2026 festive season runs from Friday, 6 November to Thursday, 31 December. The Hardiman overlooks Eyre Square, giving guests a city-centre base for the market, Shop Street, the Latin Quarter and Galway’s festive dining and entertainment.

Official 2026 dates and opening hours have not yet been confirmed by the organisers. In recent years, the Galway Christmas Market has taken place in November and December in Eyre Square. 

Opening hours:
• Monday to Wednesday: 12 noon – 8pm (bar until 10pm)
• Thursday to Saturday: 10am – 10pm
• Sunday: 10am – 8pm

Entry: Individual rides, food, drink and selected experiences may carry separate charges.
