For the convenience of our guests and to help answer some of your queries, please find below our frequently asked questions about The Hardiman.
What time is Check-in?
Guests can check-in daily from 3.30 pm.
What if I arrive before 3.30 pm?
If you arrive to the hotel before 3.30 pm you are more than welcome to register for your room and leave your luggage, which will be stored in the room for you and you can collect the keys from the reception team after 3.30 pm.
What time is Check -out?
Guest must depart by 12 noon.
Is there car parking at the hotel?
An overnight Car Parking facility is available for guests of the Hardiman at the following parking facilities;
Hynes Yard on Merchant Road at a rate of €9 for 24hrs
Please note that the ticket system as operated by the parking facility permits a onetime validation only. Should you leave the carpark within the defined period, then the balance due on that ticket must be cleared in advance, (it should not be more than the agreed overnight hotel rate using the hotel validation voucher). Should you then re-enter the carpark a new ticket is issued which restarts the defined period of parking. In this instance your overnight parking charge will be greater than the agreed hotel rate.
To avail of the discount:
1. On Check In Overnight guests must request a discount voucher from The Hardiman Front Desk team.
2. On Departure proceed to the car park & insert their parking ticket [which they will receive entering the car park] into the pay machine.
3. Followed by the discount voucher provided by our Front Desk on Check in.

NOTE: This discounted rate does not apply if you leave the carpark over that 24 hour period.
Valet Parking Service is not available at this time for health and safety reasons until.
Can I leave my luggage/car after checking out?
If you wish you may store your luggage with our reception team after check-out and
you may leave your car with us until 2 pm on the day of departure for no extra charge.
Do I need a credit card to make a booking?
To make a booking, a valid credit or laser card is required to guarantee your reservation.
Will my credit/debit card be charged on booking?
Bookings require a credit card for guarantee only, unless, in cases where this is otherwise stated. For some special offers and specific dates, full payment is required at time of booking but these terms will be outlined in the special offer terms & conditions, and/or confirmation email.
Can I cancel my booking?
The Hardiman offers free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to arrival if you book directly with the hotel or via The Hardiman Website. Bookings made via third parties must be cancelled directly with said third party company and may be subject to different cancellation policies.
Some special offers and key dates outlined in the terms and conditions may specify a special cancellation policy applicable to that offer/date. These terms will be outlined in the terms & conditions.

How late can I check into the Hotel?
Our reception team is present 24 hours a day. However, we request that you inform us if you plan to check-in after 11.30 pm. You can do via e-mail [email protected] or by calling us 00353 91 564 041
Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?
The Hardiman offers complimentary access to our high-speed Wi-Fi in all areas of the hotel. We work with BitBuzz and have Wi-Fi support for our guests.
Does the hotel offer transfer service?
The hotel does not offer a transfer service. However, taxis can be arranged for you by our concierge by calling +353 91 564041

What dining options do you offer in the hotel?
Our Parlour Lounge at The Hardiman is Galway’s most popular Afternoon Tea destination. Available from 13.00-18.00 daily. [On the dates we have a Wedding reception in the house, Afternoon Tea will be served in the Oyster Bar]. Light snacks, homemade scones and teas/coffees are also served from 10.00 till 17.00 in the Parlour. & Oyster Bar
Our beautiful Gaslight Brasserie serves food daily. Select from our Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner Menus. With an excellent cocktail menu, wine menu and full bar also for you to enjoy. Pre-booking on check-in is advised.
Do I have to book dinner in the Restaurant?
Yes, we would advise booking in advance for the Gaslight Brasserie. If you have not already made a reservation, it is advised to book dinner upon check-in with one of our Reception Staff.
What time is dinner served?
We offer the following times in our restaurant- ‘Gaslight Brasserie’ for dining:
6.30, 6.45, 7.00, 8.30 and 9.00pm.
Does the Hotel provide hairdryers?
Yes, all our rooms come equipped with installed hairdryers.
Should you be using appliances such as hair straighteners you will require an adaptor and a converter as the voltage in our sockets are 220 volts. These may be requested from the Front desk with a small deposit payment required. It is advised not to use curling tongs as the voltage does not convert correctly.
If you wish to book a tour of the Cliffs of Moher or Connemara it can be booked at reception - subject to current restrictions.
